If you experience an emergency during our business hours, we encourage you to contact us immediately. Our experienced nurses will triage you and your pet over the phone to assess whether we can provide the urgent care your pet needs. Upon arrival, your pet will be assessed by one of our veterinarians. We will aim to provide an estimate of the costs involved with your case. However, please be aware that with emergency procedures, costs can vary depending on the services and treatments required. Our veterinarians will keep you updated regularly during the course of your pet’s stay in hospital.

While we strive to offer the best care possible, please note that we may not always be able to assist, even during our regular business hours, depending on the severity of the situation or the nature of the care required. In some cases, we may need to refer you to Emergency Vets 24/7. We highly recommend them for all after-hours services – see below for contact details.

We do not provide after-hours emergency services. If your emergency occurs after hours, at night, or on the weekend, we recommend Cairns Emergency Vets 24/7. They are located at 124 Anderson Street, Manunda, and, as the name suggests, they are open and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
